Who in Detroit didn't start out with a rapidograph and templates drawing exploded views of transmissions and pasting up owner's manuals. Fast forward a twenty year career involving computer graphics, an eighteen year maternity leave, and now... now. Now I paint. I want you to see what knocks me over when I hike or kayak past. I paint it to hold on to it. I paint for the sheer pleasure, terror, fulfillment of the act itself. What a bonus. What a gift. Lisa Richter
